This Montclair, NJ project was a full fence replacement. The homeowners swapped out their old fencing for a white vinyl privacy fence with a lattice top for a little extra style. Vinyl, also called PVC, looks close to painted wood from a distance, but it won’t rot, splinter, or need repainting the way real wood does. That’s the appeal for most homeowners: put it up once and forget about it. We also added a stone border along the fence line and put down fresh sod, so the whole yard reads as done, not just fenced in. If you’re in Montclair or anywhere else in Essex County and your wood fence is on its last legs, this is roughly what a vinyl upgrade looks like.
